T-2 Womanhood

T-2 Womanhood

Lesson Scriptures: Titus 2:3-5

Titus 2:3–5 (ESV)
Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.

                    1. Older Women, What They Are To Be – v.3

ii.     Slaves To Wine – Evidently alcohol was a social problem in Create. Alcohol is still a modern-day problem in families. Wine mocks, strong drinks distort reality – do not become deceived!

                                              v.     Submission is not being a doormat. Biblically it is “functional subordination. Encouraging your husband to succeed and make Godly choices for your family
vi.     Show them how to maintain a high standard of God’s Word in your home
3                   3. Younger Women, How You Are To Respond – vv.4-5
